USBDUX-D: Product Description
-
The only USB based DAQ with an open source LINUX driver available today
The USBDUX driver is now part of the mainstream Linux kernel and there is no need to install any driver. This has been possible through the close collaboration with the open source Linux community.
-
Both digital and analogue inputs and outputs
The USB DUX boasts analgue inputs for data collection, analogue outputs for physical control and digital inputs and outputs for event logging, counting and triggering.
-
Optical isolation
The sensors you attach to the USB DUX are optically isolated from your computer inside the DAQ board. This means that there is no electrical connection between the two, so that your computer is isolated from any surges from the sensors and that sensitive equipment is protected from faults in your computer.
-
Asynchronous acquisition
USBDUX is able to perform data acquisition in the background. This means you can run multi-threaded applications such as QT.
-
Small and lightweight
The USB DUX is only 144 x 90 x 30mm (Length, Width, Height) in its box. The board is 136 x 80 x 15mm on its own. Coupled with the ability to take power straight from the USB port and an embedded version of Linux makes the USB DUX the obvious choice for applications that can't be tied to power points and desk tops.
